The School re-opened on the 13th June, 2007 with strength of around 354 students in the KG section.
Founded on June 9, 1949, the "Sharadashram Vidyamandir Trust" (SVMT) has been working for last 55 years to provide good educational facilities to the children, mainly coming from lower middle class and underprivileged sections of the society.
The Trust was established by Shri. Sadanand Dattatray alias Baburao Parulekar, a social worker and freedom fighter, under the guidance of Acharya Bhise (another renowned social worker), Shri S.K.Patil (former Railway Minister) and Justice Shri M.C. Chhagla.
