Medical Room The Matrons are in charge of the Medical Rooms in both Junior and High School, which have comfortable beds and first-aid facilities. Doctors are called, if necessary. And, in case of an emergency and if the child lives far, the School takes the ailing child to hospital while parents are kept informed. Book Shop In High School, the counter operates from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. from Mondays to Fridays. At the beginning of the new session, the junior school counter provides the entire set of books, copies and stationery to students from Nursery I to Class VIII. Classes IX to XII get their exercise books from High School. Canteen A simple and healthy food is available at reasonable price. High School students can buy directly from the canteen. Auditorium Capacity at High School is 200-plus. Popular events at the auditoria include the Investiture Ceremony, Christmas Parties, Inter-House Competitions, Rabindra Jayanti, Teachers’ Day Celebrations, extra-curricular classes, career counselling sessions, seminars and workshops for teachers and students as well as the Assembly everyday. Library For senior students we keep magazines, newspapers, subject and general reference titles as well as help-books for competitive examinations which they can borrow or browse through. Internet facilities and educational CDs are also available at High School. Students are expected to follow a few rules for Library use. There are well equipped computer, physics, chemistry and biology lab. Cyber Zone The Cyber Zone at South Point High School is conveniently located in the Library, looked after by ASPEXS, the South Point Ex-Students’ Association. It helps Pointers in their research, project work and contacts with universities in India and abroad. They can access the Internet for a wide range of information which they may store as hard or soft copies since a printer and a CD writer are also available at the Cyber Zone.
