Ambitious Mind, Becoming Mind and Emerging Mind
Yesterday I was reading an article in a newspaper on Ambitious mind and becoming mind, and while I was reading that, my mind was making it contrast with the book “Emerging Mind” written by V. Ramachandran.
It is rightly said that all our life is based on choice. In today’s vast growing world, mostly we make choice at different levels of our existence. Choice between good and bad, individuals own choice of likes and disliked, accepting and rejecting. And in that process, there is a constant struggle, constant effort. Day by day this world is trying to make their life better, making various choices, achieving their goals. It is a complex process of accumulating knowledge and widening our capacity to distinguish, which is based on memory.
Is not choice ambition? Our life is ambition, one wants to be wise, so other wants to be a millionaire, or other person wants to get rid from his/her incurable disease. Say, I and my friend both wants to become millionaire, but he has his own way of planning to achieve this goal and I’ve my own. Can’t we say that our ambition is same, but our becoming ways are different.
Our life is a series of struggles, a movement from one ideological concept, formula, desire, to another, and in this process of becoming, looking for various choices, our mind deteriorates. But still we think choice is necessary, choice from which springs ambition.
Now we find a way that life is not based on choice, but on our ambition. So are we struggling right choice or for our ambitions? Now another question arises in our mind then what about those saints, are they not ambitious? Yes, they are having ambition for salvation. They chose salvation and have the impulse of becoming is the process of choice. So we can conclude “becoming” is the process of ambition.
Now we see that ambition breed’s competition – whether in children or among big politicians, all the way up. Ambition produces certain industrial benefits, bringing choices for a customer to choose the best. So are we not emerging? Yes, we are.
The becoming mind, or to say emerging mind is a mind that is always growing, becoming, enlarging, gathering experience as knowledge, to achieve our goals of our ambitious mind.
